This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use, and disclosure of your information when you use the Mapletech App (the “Service”).

Interpretation

Words with capitalized first letters have the meanings defined below, whether they appear in singular or plural.

Definitions

• Account – a unique account created for you to access the Service.
• Affiliate – an entity that controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with a party (control = 50%+ ownership).
• Application – Mapletech App, the software program provided by the Company.
• Company (“We”, “Us”, “Our”) – Mapletech Analytics, Nakuru, Kenya.
• Country – Kenya.
• Device – any device that can access the Service (computer, phone, tablet).
• Personal Data – any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
• Service – the Application.
• Service Provider – any third-party that processes data on our behalf.
• Usage Data – data collected automatically (e.g., IP address, page visit duration).
• You – the individual or legal entity using the Service.

Collecting and Using Your Personal Data

Types of Data Collected

Personal Data

While using the Service we may ask you to provide:

• Email address
• First name and last name
• Location (with your permission)
• Usage Data

Usage Data

Collected automatically: IP address, browser type, pages visited, time spent, device identifiers, etc.

Location Data

We request permission to access your device’s location to provide location-based features. You can disable this at any time in device settings.

Use of Your Personal Data

We use it for:

• Providing and maintaining the Service
• Managing your account and registration
• Performing any contract (including future premium purchases)
• Contacting you (password resets, deletion confirmations, service updates)
• Managing your requests
• Internal analytics and service improvement

Sharing Your Personal Data

We share only when necessary:

• Service Providers – Zoho Mail SMTP for sending transactional emails (password resets, deletion confirmations). See Zoho’s Privacy Policy.
• Google Play Billing – for any future in-app purchases or subscriptions (we never see your card details).
• Legal requirements, business transfers, affiliates (with the same privacy obligations).

Payments (Future Premium Features)

Premium upgrades will be offered via Google Play in-app purchases and subscriptions. All payment processing is handled **exclusively by Google Play**. We do **not** collect, store, or have access to credit-card numbers or other financial information.

Retention of Your Personal Data

We keep Personal Data only as long as needed for the purposes above or to comply with legal obligations. Usage Data is retained for a shorter period unless required for security or functionality.

Transfer of Your Personal Data

Data may be processed outside Kenya. By using the Service you consent to such transfer, and we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

Delete Your Personal Data

You can request deletion at any time via the in-app settings or by using our public web form: request-account-deletion. We will permanently delete your account and all associated data within 7 days (except data we are legally required to retain).

Security of Your Personal Data

We use industry-standard measures (HTTPS, encrypted storage). No method is 100% secure, but we strive to protect your data.

What We Do NOT Do

• No advertising or remarketing – we do not serve ads, use ad IDs, or share data with advertising partners.
• No selling of data – your information is never sold.
• No children’s data – the Service is not directed at anyone under 13.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites you may reach from the Service.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We will notify you by email and/or a prominent in-app notice before any material change takes effect and will update the “Last updated” date above.
